Camden and the Claire Bear

Camden, Claire and Mollie came over the hill on Thursday and are going back tomorrow. We've had fun with all three of them, but have decided that Claire's name is not complete without the "Bear" ending. Unfortunately, all the kiddos are pretty sick, so it's been quite the marathon of runny noses, crabby kids, and sleepless nights. That's what you get with so many little ones in the house, though.

Holding Babies

This weekend we had a family reunion; 26 people were in my parent's house. It was so fun. There were 5 kiddos under the age of 3 so we got lots of baby time. There are just so many cute kids in our family!Kate and Pierce

Road Trip!

We just arrived in Hubbard, Oregon...drove 23 hours in two days. Whew! It was murderous, but it's awesome to be here. I had to get the quintessential "road trip" pictures...
If only everyone could be this comfortable...
Phil tries on my shades...and then forgets about it and gets out for a stop while still wearing them. He received some mocking from strangers about it and then from me...

We stopped one time in the Columbia River Gorge. It wasn't the best time to stop; there were prettier stops, it was gorgeous. I remember why I love Oregon so much. Of all the five states we drove through, Oregon was the prettiest...well the hour we were in Idaho was also amazing. It looked like a European village...

Double Digits

Addy turned 10 yesterday. Phil and I are still in shock and disbelief. It seems like yesterday that we were trying to get her to sleep through the night, walk, potty in the toilet, eat green beans...oh wait...that last one was yesterday!
We had a great family birthday; what a fun day. I think I've said it before, but I LOVE birthdays! We let her open a new dress and shoes before church and Henry said, "I LOVE Christmas!"

Addy wanted to make her own cake and said that was her favorite part. Isn't it great when you want to serve others on your birthday?
