Celebrate!

We finished cleaning our house and turned it back over to the landlords today. This marks the beginning of the end for us here in Germany. We are staying in a hotel for the next 8 days until we leave and then we'll make our trek across half the country. We had dinner at Chili's on Ramstein that night and I even let the kids have milkshakes WITH their meals! What a nice mom! :)

Phil will NOT sit still and look at the camera...this is as good as it gets...

Still here...

Yes, we are still in Germany. We are moving into a hotel on base on Wednesday and we'll leave here on the 6th. It will take us about two weeks to drive from the east coast to Minot because we'll stop at six places along the way. Life has been CRAZY over the past few weeks, which is why I haven't posted here. I had six photography sittings the week before the last movers came, which was insane. I had orders coming in the next week (which equals lots of editing), plus movers, home schooling and social engagements and...oh wait...we're moving!!! There is lots to do to get ready for an overseas move and we are so ready for it all to be done and to be sitting in our furniture in our new house...actually we're all SO ready to be sleeping in our beds in our new house!
Other than that, life is flying past. Henry has been so bad and then so charming, which makes the sting of the "bad" a little less painful...which also explains why he is bad so often...hmmm...
...anyway, this one day he told me he loved babies and I told him I did, too, so he said, "Well, why don't we just buy one, then????!!!" Good question...
Today I told him we'd be going to Taco Bell for dinner and he asked why we couldn't just leave now...
Me - "Daddy isn't ready to go yet and we wouldn't want to leave without him, would we?"
Henry - "Why don't we just leave him here, then."
Me - "We don't want to leave without him."
Henry - "He can just eat something else."
He's so selfless...
...not sure when you'll hear from me again...maybe I'll find wireless internet somewhere on the road and I'll post some pictures of our travels. Right now I've been having a much-needed camera break.
